my family pic

We went to a professional photographer, a friend called Nance Macfarlane, to get this pic done for my parents' anniversary and I am really pleased with it. They were over the moon with it, and we had a small party for them too which was great fun. A few friends and some family came round and we had a wee buffet too, so a success all round!
The pic is... from left to right Me, hubby, then under him Sophie, our youngest, up to my brother, then down to Gemma, oldest, and finally my sister in law.

been very busy today......

Been doing some orders and also a wee start to my Christmas cards too.

These wedding cards are great fun to make

whoops not the best photo in the world!
This caused great big giggles apparently-

It's been too long!!

Sorry everyone, I know I have been missing for far too long!
Lots of things been happening on the homefront, and not all pleasurable! Hopefully we have all turned a wee corner and I can get back to "normal". I have really missed being on the CB forum and have been on for the first time in an age tonight but it was so slow that I kept timing out so thought that I had better get a wee post or two on here to keep in touch!
I will need to make sure that I get on at least once a week - me time-to keep up with the gossip and chat.
I have done some cards over the last few months and have even done my first ever wedding invitations, so will post some pics (haven't taken photo of invites yet though!) Anyway it's nice to be back! Caroline xxxxx

A wee holiday

Well we did manage to get away for a wee holiday as our friends offered their holiday house to us as they were off to visit family in Spain. So David was granted the time off work, a friend was found for Sophie to take, freezer filled for eldest daughter as she wasn't able to come due to work and off we went in a rush as we decided to go on Sunday instead of Monday as was the original plan ( please note that we decided to leave on the Sunday at 1130am on said Sunday!!!! Nothing packed or organised- of course!!)

The weather in Lendalfoot, Ayrshire coast, was spectacular on Sun and Mon, and the girls were in swimming in the sea. Next few days not so great but we had plenty to do, cards and articulate and they took the wii too. We also went to the Gemrock museum in Creetown which was fantasic, and after that we headed off to the beach armed with a huge hammer to see if we could find any agates or precious stones - I don't know what people must have thought we were up to!!! Anyway we never made our fortune on the beach that evening but we had a good laugh trying. So we had a lovely, relaxing time. I did miss my crafting though, note to self- take crafting stash on future holidays!

Official Photos

We are going to get all the Madame Tussauds photos on disc too but thought I would post a couple on here now!

Sophie unveils Hannah Montana

Right so this story is going to be back to front now!!! Sorry but you need to read the last post first, lol!!!!!!

We, Sophie, Gemma (her big sister), Sarah ( her best friend) and me ( her Mum!!!) met up with the Disney staff at the hotel to get our itinery for the filming , shopping with the stylist and the photoshoot. Only to be told that Sophie was to unveil the Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) waxwork figure on Thursday morning , at Madame Tussauds, in front of the Tv and the press!!!!!!!!!!

Well we were so shocked, even Sophie - who is so laid back about all the filming etc- looked shellshocked.

It was a total surprise , Disney had told us that they were treating us to Madame Tussauds visit but had left out the best bit!

So the rest of Tuesday belonged to us and we decided to head for Harrods and then went to Piccadilly Circus for some shopping.

We had a lovely meal that night in a gorgeous little italian restaurant around the corner- the girls didn't fancy anything on the hotel menu!

Then back to the hotel for bed as we had an early start.

We met the disney staff in the hotel lobby at 8am where we did lots of filming for the Disney channel - we had to "arrive" at the hotel and walk in, then some shots of the room - which we had tidied up thankfully! Then we all went off to Oxford Street to get filmed shopping with the stylist, Phil, who was so lovely ( he is the guy in the red jumper in the photo) most of the shopping was done in Top Shop as Sophie got vouchers for there as part of her prize. We were not allowed to film inside the shop so we met up with the photographer, Angus, who was fantastic - so nice.

I managed to embarass myself totally by falling up the escalator!!!!! ( no alcohol involved I promise!) Anyway I have really damaged my knee and it is sooooo sore.

Sophie chose her two outfits that were needed for the photo shoot at the Lemonade Factory Studios in Battersea with Angus the photographer.

We met up with Becki, the makeup artist ( she had done the makeup on Hannah Montana Superfan so Sophie knew her already which was nice) who took her up to do her makeup while it was all being filmed and then the photography started.

I just couldn't believe how good Sophie was- it was amazing- the crew all said thet she was a natural!!! Angus let me see some shots on the camera and told me that some of the pics would make amazing magazine covers!!! We will get a disc sent to us with all the photographs on it as part of Soph's prize.

Well we got back to the hotel at 715pm and had a really fast freshen up as we were booked to eat at Planet Hollywood at 800pm! We were so exhausted by this time, but it was a fantastic meal and the girls soon woke up when we got in there! We had such a laugh in there.

Back to the hotel as soon as poss though as we had a 500am wake up call next morning to be at Madame Tussauds for 700am for makeup!!!!!

Very groggy on Thurs Morning - Especially Sophie( I was a wee bit concerned that she was too tired to show any enthusiasm for the day- but she came to when she was required to!)

We went to see the wax model after a couple of tv interviews and Sophie was filmed seeing it for the first time, I have to say it is an amazing likeness!

So then the press decended upon her and she posed away quite the thing for around an hour with a couple of interviews thrown in too. Again it was so weird seeing my wee girl able to cope with being asked to look this way and that and change her pose all the time, it was almost like watching a different person!

She had another interview with Girl talk mag and then for Disney website and then Ben from Madame Tussauds let us go around the place for free!!! It was sooooo busy - a complete contrast from that morning- so we had such a laugh in there but we did have to rush round as there was a car booked to take us to Buckingham palace as Sophie was desperate to see it.

We just had time to nip back to Oxford Street to get a couple of things and then we had to meet our car to take us back to the Airport.

So we have come home for a rest!!!!! I t was a whirl wind trip indeed.

I just can't believe that I can google my own daughter and there are - at the moment - 4 pages !!!!!! She has been in the paper, and will be in OK mag as well as Mizz, Goodybag, Girltalk and some local mags too!!!

I am just so proud of her . Thanks Sophie for a fabulous time!

Sophie unveils Hannah Montana!!!!

Oh my goodness where do I start?!

Well we are just back from Sophie's prize weekend in London and it was the most amazing experience, in fact it was surreal!

We arrived at the airport to be met by a chauffeur holding a wee plaque with our name on it - just like the movies!!!

He tookus to the Mayfair Raddison hotel in Westminister- it was so POSH!!!! posting picks of it now......
